World-Class Amenities at Bisley Shooting Ground

Premier Clay Shooting Ground

Nestled in the heart of ancient Surrey heathland, Bisley Shooting Ground is just 30 miles from central London, situated between Woking and Guildford. Ideally located therefore for clay shooting near London, Surrey and the Home Counties.

Boasting world-class amenities across more than 3000 acres of Bisley Camp’s pristine woodland, the ground is hailed by many as the premier clay shooting ground in the country. Recognised for its exceptional instruction, the clay ground sits in proximity to Bisley’s Cottesloe Heath and Long Siberia rifle ranges. Adjacent to Bisley Camp stands the National Clay Shooting Centre, an establishment distinct from the recreational facilities, constructed for the 2002 Commonwealth Games. The sprawling site also accommodates two separate gun shops and a stunning Victorian clubhouse for post-shooting relaxation.

Visitors can enjoy the 23 stands at the Long Siberia range or opt for a structured lesson featuring 100 clays. Beginners are warmly welcomed, whilst seasoned enthusiasts can challenge themselves against the nation's tallest clay tower and the thrilling grouse layout.

The adrenaline filled day replicates a day’s live game shooting, in and out of season. The focus is on quality drives and challenging targets designed to mimic the natural movement of pheasant, partridge and grouse. The High Tower, Colossus Crane and the famous 10 grouse butts, provide the ultimate setup to present multiple targets through 360 degrees and up to 200 feet.

These days are for experienced shots with their own gun and licence. All shooting takes place in pairs with one shooting and the other loading. You can book in with a friend or there’s the option to ‘buddy up’ with another shot.
