HOW TO WEAR A V-NECK SWEATER

TIPS FOR STYLING A V-NECK SWEATER

The bottom hem should hit about 2 inches below your belt buckle, to give you enough room for movement. Though with many statement belts on the market, we know some of you love to tuck in slightly to show off your accessories!
We love versatile and classic pieces which will become staples in your wardrobe, and that you can build the rest of your outfits around. The v-neck sweater is the epitome of that, by being a great layering piece, or made as a statement piece on its own.

TIMELESS STYLE
The go to look when you’re rocking a v-neck sweater: over a white dress shirt, a combination that will never let you down.
The framing of your v-neck sweater will show off the collar but make sure you’ve ironed it before you head out! Pair with navy chinos for a classic look. To add a little bit of edge you could add a pair of black Chelsea boots. A timeless style!
Alternatively, combine your Chelsea boots, shirt and v-neck with a pair of jeans for a more relaxed evening outfit.
Perhaps you’re a sweater and chino kind of guy, but not into Chelsea boots - no matter, try beige or our favourite wine chinos with a pair of beige desert boots. A great autumnal look for work or play!

OUTSIDE OF THE NORM
We must warn you that our next style choice isn’t for everyone, but for those of you who like to play around with your style and go outside of the norm try your v-neck sweater on it’s own! Balance the look with some more conservative pieces, perhaps a pair of loafers and wool trousers in a contrasting colour.
If you like the sound of this combination but aren’t sure about wearing the sweater solo, add one of our cotton tees under for simple, but elegant style.

LAYER WITH TWEED
Our final way to style a v-neck sweater (for now!) makes a great option to wear some dark denim for a business casual look. Try wearing a classic navy v-neck under a smarttweed blazer.
Pair with your favourite dark denim jeans and brown dress shoes for a smart casual look which takes you from day to night.
V-neck sweaters aren’t just for autumn/winter, they’re great additions to your spring/summer wardrobe too! Worn on its own or with a light linen shirt under, you can pair with chino trousers or shorts on warmer days.
